News Release for Mohave County Voters!
Early ballot requests by mail will end this Friday, October 24. Voters may continue to go to the early voting sites and vote there until Friday,
October 31. If you haven’t mailed your early ballot, do so right away so that it doesn’t get delayed in the mail somewhere. Your ballot must be in
the hands of Election Officials before 7 p.m. Election Night. Nothing is worse than Voter Registration receiving a bunch of early ballots in the
mail the day after the election. You can still drop your early ballot off at any early voting site until October 31, or at any poll site on Election Day,
November 4th.

Sample ballots should be in your mail box soon. Remember, you can use these as a “cheat sheet” and take them to your poll site with you, but
they cannot be used as an “Official Ballot” under any circumstances. Transfer your choices to an “Official Ballot”, either your early ballot or your
poll site ballot. Remember to vote your early ballot and return it early!

News Release for Mohave County Voters!
Interested in voting for a Write-In Candidate? Follow the instructions on the top of your ballot to insure your write-in vote will count. Here are
some do’s & don’ts! Make sure the name you write in is an “Official Write-In” candidate; other names are a waste of time and taxpayers
money. Don’t forget to fill in the oval by your write-in candidate-a machine cannot interpret the intent of a voter! Once you vote for a candidate
whose name is already printed on the ballot, don’t then re-write their name again on the write-in line-filling in both ovals does not give the
candidate two votes and may cancel your vote completely! The Write-In Board is the only one to read your notes, comments, etc., and since
they don’t write the laws, you have again wasted your time and money as every filled in write-in oval must be noted and marked by this Board-it
took 5 days during the Primary and very few were official! Mark your ballot so that your vote will be counted!

If you mismark your ballot, or spoil it in any way, call Voter Registration for a replacement; if on Election Day, return it to an election official for a
new one. Remember, a machine is reading your choice and does not interpret the intent of the voter. A big X, or “No”, means absolutely nothing
to a machine. Make sure your choice counts!

Hi Everyone,
The following information on Voters registered as Independent or those with no party affiliation may be of help in explaining to these Voters how
they may vote in the August 26th Primary:
Three ways independent voters can vote in the primary election:
1. Independent voters are able to vote in the primary through one of three ways:
a. Early mail ballot,
b. Early in-person voting, or
c. In-person on Election Day, August 26.
2. For independent voters or unrecognized party voters to receive an early ballot or to find an early voting location, they may go on line to
the Mohave County website, under the Recorder’s Office & Voter Registration, or call the Voter Registration. Mohave County Voter
Registration is 928-753-0767 or 888-607-0733 or TDD 928-753-0769. The last day to request an early ballot by mail is August 15.
3. Early ballots should be returned by mail August 22, or earlier. If you miss the August 22 deadline, you may return your ballot to an early
voting location, at the County Recorder’s Office, or at the poll on Election Day. Contact the County Recorder for more information. If
you vote by early ballot, do not vote in person on Election Day.
4. If voting on Election Day, know that polling locations may have changed since the last election. Go to www.azsos.gov and click on the Voter
View Icon to find out your polling location.
This information will help correct some errors in understanding on how Voters that are not registered as Americans Elect, Democratic,
Libertarian, or Republican may vote in the Primary.
Thank you so very much in helping us get the correct information out to our Mohave County Voters.

Dear Advisory Board Members,
Arizona Revised Statute 16-590 -- State law authorizes the appointment of party representatives who can be
present at the polls and in voting places and who may act as Challengers or Political Observers for the party
which appointed the representative.
Here is information on Political Observers at the polling locations for both the August Primary and the
November General elections. Party chairman, this is very important as the Certificate is the official letter of
introduction needed for your Political Observers to present to the Inspectors at the various poll sites. Also the
PowerPoint presentation is very instructive to your people on their rights and obligations as Observers.
If you have any questions please contact us. By sending this out early, it should give everyone a chance to look
it over and be prepared!
